Java Security Issues

“I’ve heard that Java is insecure. Does that make CatDV a security risk?”

No!

There have recently been some security issues discovered in the Java Web Browser plug-in, that can cause security issues when browsing a web site that uses a malicious Java Applet.

CatDV does not use the Java Browser Plug-in – it uses the Java Desktop or Server Runtime, which are not affected by this issue.
