Amazon Translate

Translate actions run ‘on the fly’, and only require AWS access keys / region. Much like the transcribe action, you can specify manually or via a clip field value any supported languages / codes for your input and output.

The input itself can be a variable expression defined in the Worker action itself (e.g. ${NM1}), or a field value to support free-text translation from any CatDV client. Additionally, the clip markers themselves can be translated - this is particularly useful when combined with a transcription action. For example, one could first transcribe a clip in English then translate to French or Spanish and provide bilingual subtitles in the CatDV Web Client.

When translating clip markers, you must specify the source and target marker categories, as well as the input and output language.
