CatDV on Yosemite (OSX 10.10)

CatDV Client

CatDV 11, CatDV Server 6.9 and CatDV Web Client are supported with OS X Yosemite. Users running previous versions of CatDV should upgrade to CatDV 11. Customers with maintenance agreements are entitled to this upgrade as part of their maintenance agreement.

The latest supported operating system for CatDV 10 is 10.9.5 Mavericks

Worker Node

OSX Yosemite has removed Quicktime for Java which is required by Worker Node 5 and earlier. If you are using Yosemite you will need to upgrade to Worker Node 6.

Alternatives

Some users have reported success by copying some old Mavericks components to Yosemite.

/System/Library/Java/Extensions/QTJava.zip /System/Library/Java/Extensions/libQTJNative.jnilib /System/Library/QuickTimeJava/QuickTimeJava.bundle (which is a directory)

Note the System folder may well be hidden. It can be accessed using the Finder: “Go – Go To Folder” menu item then typing “/System”.

Please note this is an unsupported configuration.
